Digital Portfolios for All Ages

Many teachers are setting the goal of collecting student work into digital portfolios.  This provides a great way for students to share and show-off the things they have learned and produced throughout the year.  There are many kid-friendly and free tools that can be used for creating digital portfolios with students.

Seesaw is a FREE app for the iPad.  It also works on iPhones.  This looks great for all ages in elementary, even K,1!  Check out what this app can do.

Update:  4/3/16
"SeeSaw is like Instagram that connects parents and teachers. Teachers can post pictures throughout the week, and parents have access to view only pictures of their child. It's easy to avoid FERPA kids; their name simply will not display on the teachers side when they try to upload. This can be used by our yearbook committee, and it can be a huge leap forward in keeping parents in the loop as to what is going on at school. In the same fashion that Edmodo uses a Facebook platform, Seesaw uses an Instagram platform. On both applications only selected parents, teachers and students can view the pictures. Parents either get an automated text, email, or notification on their app when a picture of their child is uploaded."  ~Chance Dorris, 5th grade teacher

Easy Portfolio looks like a similar app in it's purpose and functions, but it's not free to download.  The promo video expresses the need for ePortfolios.
