Automated Grading for Google Forms Assignments or Assessments

Wouldn't it be great if students could hop onto a computer or iPad, take a quiz or test (that can even be read aloud to them), and then you'll instantly know how they did on that assessment or assignment????  All of this can be done using Google Forms and a Google add-on called Flubaroo.

Mrs. O'Grady has been testing this out with her 2nd grade bilingual students.  She created the test using Google Forms, and was even able to add images into her test.  She included multiple choice and short answer questions, just like other assessments used by the district.  Her images were in color, which was more user-friendly than the black and white paper copies of the test.  However, students also had the paper test to look at as well to support them if needed.  Because Mrs. O'Grady has also installed the Read & Write Google Chrome extension on her student computers, the students could have the test read aloud to them.

After adding Flubaroo to her Google Drive add-ons, she simply had to take the quiz herself to create the answer key.  After her students took their test, she went to the response sheet automatically created by Google, and told Flubaroo to grade the test.  Not only did it give you the students' score in a percentage, but it told you which questions were most missed and by how much of the class.
